IDMC is a leading EPC contractor for dairy, pharmacy, beverage, brewery, etc. industries. Siemens F & B group is leading supplier of automation systems for such projects to IDMC and its clients. IDMC and Siemens were looking for an integrated reporting tool for data generated from DCS system, certain equipment which are not hooked up to DCS and manual transactions.  Such a tool also had to have capability to acquire data from various devices and generate customized - industry specific reports.

Solution

PlantConnect® uses data collected from devices to generate various reports and charts. The tool also incorporates manual data along with device data. PlantConnect® provides a ‘Data Entry Engine’ for manual data entry. Both device data and/or manual data can be used for reports.
